Stories are another way to teach about friendship and care. I love reading aloud to my students, but sometimes we watch together when I find some really well done videos of the stories online. I've gathered some of the online read aloud stories I love to share with my students for Valentine's Day below.
Valentine's Day Read Aloud #1
"Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse!" by Laura Numeroff
The Mouse series books are simply brilliant for primary students. So clever and funny! Celebrate Valentine's Day with Mouse as he creates special valentines for all his friends in this heartwarming story.
Valentine's Day Read Aloud #2
"Guess How Much I Love You" by Sam McBratney
This was a story that my own children loved to hear at bedtime. My students love it too! Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare express their love for each other in this sweet and touching tale.
Valentine's Day Read Aloud #3
"Love Monster" by Rachel Bright
This monster is more cute than scary! In this read aloud, Love Monster is on a journey to find someone who will love him just the way he is. Lots of humor and good feelings in this story.
