Mother's Day Gift - Stories and Gifts

Updated: May 1

As a primary teacher, I'm always on the lookout for activities for Mother's Day.

I've gathered a few of my favorites to share, including a free downloadable gift for Mom to try with your students!

Mother's Day Stories

Here are a few of the stories I read in preparation for Mother's Day fun! These are perfect to start your class discussion about appreciating our mothers! (These are NOT affiliate links - just stories I love to read with my students every year.)

Mother's Day Story #1 - Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney

This story is a lovely discussion between a little bunny and her mother about a mother's devotion, and the things they do for the sake of their children.

Mother's Day Story#2 - I Love You Because You’re You by Liza Baker

Another story about a conversation between mom and child. This time it's reassuring a child that, regardless of his strong emotions, he will always be loved. He is reassured that he is loved just the way he is.

Mother's Day Story#3 - The Bad Seed by Jory John

Continuing with the theme of unconditional acceptance, this adorable book is about a little one who is loved despite his bad moods and bad temper! Then one day he decides to change his mind about himself, and that changes everything! It's both sweet and empowering.

Just print, staple, and let your students fill in the details to create a lovely keepsake.
