Valentine's Day Read Alouds For Primary

Valentine's Day is all about love and friendship! It's a time to show how much your friends mean to you with small cards, treats, or kind words. Stories are another way to teach about friendship and care. I've gathered some of the read aloud stories I love to share with my students for Valentine's Day below.

Valentine's Day Read Aloud #1

"Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse!" by Laura Numeroff

The Mouse series books are simply brilliant for primary students. So clever and funny! Celebrate Valentine's Day with Mouse as he creates special valentines for all his friends in this heartwarming story.

Valentine's Day Read Aloud #2

"Guess How Much I Love You" by Sam McBratney

This was a story that my own children loved to hear at bedtime. My students love it too! Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare express their love for each other in this sweet and touching tale.

Valentine's Day Read Aloud #3

"Love Monster" by Rachel Bright

This monster is more cute than scary! In this read aloud, Love Monster is on a journey to find someone who will love him just the way he is. Lots of humor and good feelings in this story.

These heartwarming Valentine's Day read-alouds are perfect for sharing love and kindness with your students during this special time of year. Happy reading and happy Valentine's Day!
