St. Patrick's Day is a time for shamrocks, leprechauns, and all things green! It's also a fantastic opportunity to engage your primary students with captivating stories that celebrate the spirit of this festive holiday. My students love anything to do with mischievous leprechauns! Here are some of the stories I read with primary students each year.

"Jamie O'Rourke and the Big Potato" by Tomie dePaola
Jamie O'Rourke is on his hilarious adventure in this story as he tries to grow the biggest potato in all of Ireland! He needs a little help from a leprechaun to do it!
